IAIN Curup utilizes Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to support the management and implementation of campus sustainability programs. ICT is not only used for academic services, but also supports data governance, reporting, documentation, inter-unit coordination, administrative efficiency, digital learning, information dissemination, and the strengthening of digital-based campus services.
In the context of UI GreenMetric, ICT utilization at IAIN Curup is relevant to sustainable campus governance because it supports data collection, activity monitoring, indicator reporting, document storage, paper reduction, and the dissemination of sustainability-related information to the academic community. Several digital systems that support these functions include the SEVIMA Platform accessed through siakad.iaincurup.ac.id, digital learning services, the institutional website, academic information systems, institutional email services, campus Wi-Fi infrastructure, and access security systems such as Single Sign-On (SSO) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
The use of ICT demonstrates that IAIN Curup is developing a digital ecosystem that supports service efficiency, data transparency, information security, and data-based decision-making. Description:
IAIN Curup strengthens personal data protection and information security through the implementation of SSO and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) in the SEVIMA academic platform accessed through siakad.iaincurup.ac.id. This system allows users to log in using an official account, either through Google authentication or username/email and password. For administrators who access the Application Administration module, SEVIMA Platform requires MFA verification by sending an OTP code to the registered email.
The use of SSO and MFA shows that IAIN Curup applies layered security in managing academic information systems. SSO supports centralized user identity management, while MFA adds an additional verification layer to ensure that only authorized users can access sensitive academic and administrative modules. After successful OTP verification, users can access the SEVIMA Platform menu, including academic, administrative, accreditation, finance, staffing, and admission-related modules according to their access rights.
This practice supports the principles of GDPR and Indonesia’s Law Number 27 of 2022 on Personal Data Protection, especially in relation to access limitation, data security, confidentiality, accountability, and responsible personal data processing. Indonesia’s PDP Law regulates personal data protection, rights of data subjects, personal data processing, and obligations of personal data controllers and processors.
Therefore, the implementation of SSO and MFA in the SEVIMA academic platform becomes strong evidence that IAIN Curup has applied secure digital governance for academic data.
